Luminus, the UK’s best employer and Premium Brand housing provider celebrates its 17th anniversary this month.

Since March 2000, Luminus has been building a team of people who, daily inspired in their work, seek consistently to give excellent service to our customers, energising our residents, business partners and the wider community and helps us all find a sense of purpose, hope and fulfilment. 

The Road to Renewal which Luminus treads, seeking to bring about positive change in society, presents many challenges. Despite these, the Luminus team has worked hard to keep both the public and employees safe, carrying out over 315,000 repairs and installing over 3,350 new kitchens and bathrooms in 7,300 homes. 

During this time, external bodies have validated Luminus with many awards, including the RoSPA President’s Award and Gold Medal for Occupational Health and Safety for twelve consecutive years, the 2016 Lloyds Bank National Business Award for Employer of the Year, The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For, and others recognising excellence in leadership and customer service. However, Luminus is continually seeking to improve, learning from customer and employee feedback, facing up to things that don’t go to plan and being willing to change in order to “be the best”.
