We write further to the report in the Hunts Post of Wednesday 8 March to give our assurance to all Luminus residents as well as the wider public, following the discovery of a number of gas safety certificates that had gone beyond their anniversary date.

Luminus takes the health, safety and wellbeing of our residents, employees and the wider public very seriously.  The failings that we have identified were unacceptable and we offer our unreserved apology.  Luminus has rectified the problems by introducing systems and organisational changes, supported by new technology.  We can give assurance that these problems will not recur.

For all of our residents we have set up a gas safety hotline at [email protected]. In addition, our Group Chief Executive Dr Chan Abraham has written personally to each resident, reinforcing our commitment to their safety and wellbeing, and inviting any who wish to do so to contact him directly.
