Luminus, one of the UK’s most inspirational employers, held its third annual talent show, Luminus has got Talent, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and Huntingdon Community Cancer Network.

Held at Brook House, Luminus’ headquarters, staff from across the business showcased their hidden talents at the event, which is one of the highlights of the Luminus calendar.

There was a packed programme, with a variety of acts taking to the stage, including poetry, live music, and making their debut, the Ferry Project Puppeteers.

Communications Manager, Simon Leher, performed an unmissable original rap and song and there was also the much anticipated return of the ‘Brook House Boys’ and the Regulatory Returns, whose take on the 90’s boy band classics, and the Lumineer’s  respectively, wowed the audience. Amongst the line-up was also a special surprise with Group Chief Executive, Dr Chan Abraham,  playing guitar and singing country ballads, “You’re my best friend” and “This world is not my home.”

The acts entertained, amused and inspired the capacity audience of employees, board members and other specially invited guests.

£400 was raised on the evening, which will be donated towards Macmillan Cancer Support and Huntingdon Community Cancer Network, who both provide invaluable support to those affected by Cancer.

Dr Chan Abraham, Luminus Group Chief Executive said:

“I am so proud of the performers who took part and demonstrated their enthusiasm, energy and talent on the night.  While so much of life in the UK is dominated by a “can’t do” attitude, Luminus people have once again stepped forward and shone their light brightly. Luminus is a family and the whole team continues to get behind our many charitable fundraising activities and events, all contributing to our 2020 Vision, The Road to Renewal, to change the world where we are.”
