1.8 million households in the UK are currently on waiting lists for social housing, with 60,000 households being made homeless a year.

It is estimated that 4.6 million homes will be needed in the next 20 years to house our growing population, with an ageing demographic and new household formation increasing the pressure further.

The Welfare Reform Act 2012 has instigated massive changes to a number of benefits within the social security system.  Some observers believe that Welfare Reform may lead to a UK-wide housing crisis.
